Swimming at the Calhoun County YMCA managed city pools in Port Lavaca and Palacios can help people thrive. Swimming lessons provide the opportunity to set goals and achieve success, learn water safety and enjoy swimming as a form of exercise. Through swim lessons, open swim and more, the Calhoun County YMCA provides a safe environment for swimmers of all ages and abilities.

REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 15 years old on final day of testing
Swim 300 yards continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing
Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs
Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 30 seconds
