AFTERSCHOOL CARE

As a leader in youth development, the Y Childcare Program serves local children on a daily basis providing safe, quality, affordable educational childcare. We strive to help each child reach their potential by offering and enriching environment that encourages the development of character, leadership, and cooperative spirit. 

All of our sites are licensed through the Department of Family & Protective Services.

  • Dismissal to 6:00pm

SUMMER CAMP

REGISTRATION OPENS APRIL 13, 2026

Enjoy a hands-on outdoor adventure at the Y. Continue learning all summer long.

Summer Camp includes the BISD breakfast and lunch program. As an added PLUS, there will be additional weekly environmental field trip outings!

SWIM LESSONS AT 16TH STREET POOL

$75 per person

  • POLLIWOG (6 & up) & GUPPY/MINNOW (advanced)
    • Monday – Friday, 5 day sessions
    • Session One: June 8-12
    • Session Two: June 15-19
    • Mornings: 8:00-8:45am or 9:00-9:45am
    • Evenings: 5:15-6:00pm or 6:00-6:45pm
  • TINY TOTS (3-5 years)
    • 9:30-10:15am
    • One Session: May 11-15 (3 spots available)

LIFEGUARD TRAINING

2026 CLASSES REGISTERING NOW!

This lifeguarding program trains lifeguards to act with speed and confidence in emergency situations both in and out of the water. To successfully complete the course, participant must complete class assignments and attendance requirements, pass the written exam and a practical water skills test.

Class Specifications:

  • Participant may choose location.
  • Must attend all sessions and at the same location to pass and receive certification.
  • Class size is minimum of 5 participants and maximum of 10 per class.

Class is $125 Per Participant

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

The Y is committed to providing financial assistance to those who cannot afford the full price of Y programs. That’s the purpose of the Friend of Youth Annual Campaign. All Annual Campaign funds remain in our local community, giving children and families an opportunity to get involved in Y programs.

Applicants must complete our Financial Assistance application and provide financial documentation for consideration.
