Class Descriptions

There’s something for EVERYONE in our Victoria Group Exercise Classes. Certified Instructors lead classes for anyone from beginner to well advanced. See our Group Exercise Schedule for detailed class descriptions and try one today. All classes are included in YMCA Membership! 

We offer tons of different group fitness classes! Ages 12 and older permitted in group fitness classes, if space allows. Parent must stay in class with youth.

GROUP FITNESS FOR KIDS

Children are required to be signed in by their parent/guardian.
 
ZUMBAKIDS – Ages 4-12. An explosion of music, dance and energy! A fun and healthy program that keeps your youth active. Classes are Monday and Wednesday from 5:30pm-6:15pm. Click here for more information.
 
POUND KIDS – Ages 4-12. Drum your way to be fit. Rock out with Pound! Classes are Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30pm-6:15pm. Click here for more information.

GROUP AND INDIVIDUAL PERSONAL TRAINING

GROUP PERSONAL TRAINING

Small group strength training focusing on proper form with personalized attention to reach your fitness goals. Class will revolve around functional fitness, accomplished by elevating your heart rate while increasing your muscular endurance strength using high intensity interval training methods.

  • Group Personal Trainer Class

  • Dates: January 20th – February 28th (6 weeks)
  • Meet: twice per week Mondays & Wednesdays
  • Location: Aerobics room A
  • Time: 6:30pm-7:30pm
  • Fee: $35

Minimum of 3 people. Maximum of 10 people.

Ages 10-15 – $15 – 1ST PLACE WINS $200

Compete to see who can lose the largest % of weight in this weight loss program. The individual with the greatest percentage of weight loss will WIN CASH!

Request a FREE CONSULTATION! Must be marked on the registration form. Consultations are by appointment only.
You will be weighed in by Wellness Center staff at the start, throughout and at the end of the program.

Weigh-in starts January 6th and are required on/before February 3rd. Final weigh-in required on/before March 28th. All calculations and/or ties will be determined by the YMCA Wellness Director.

Weigh-in times:

  • Monday-Thursday 8:15am-1:00pm and 4:00pm-8:00pm
  • Friday 8:15am-1:00pm and 5:00pm-7:00pm
  • Saturday 9:00am – 3:30pm
  • Sunday 2:00pm-4:00pm

YOUTH and TEEN Wellness Area TRAINING Class

Limit of 6 kids per class at this time. 

Youth/Teen training class teaches proper use of cardio equipment and Nautilus weight equipment (class does not include the free weight room).

All youth who complete the class can use the Wellness area with parent/guardian present in the building. Parent/guardian is required to be with teen/youth at all times for use of the free weight room. Click here for more information.

Class begins at 1:30 and ends at 4:30 pm. It’s held on the first and third Sunday of each month. Participants must register by the Wednesday before.

  • Ages 10-15
  • $35 per person
  • Available to members only.
  • Proper exercise attire required.
  • Phones will be collected by the instructor at the beginning of class and returned at the end.

SECA BODY COMPOSITION ANALYSIS

Our new medical grade SECA scale will inform you of body composition in relation to muscle, water and fat percentages. It’s free to utilize. No appointment needed. Connect with a Wellness staff on how to use it properly and team will send you the results.
