COMMUNITY

BARBARA BAUER BRIGGS FAMILY YMCA

Our Cause Defines Us.

We know that lasting personal and social change comes about when we all work together. That’s why, at the Y, strengthening community is our cause. The Y exists to strengthen the foundations of our community through Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.

Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. We are a place where anyone and everyone can find respite from social, physical, economic and/or educational challenges, and learn how to overcome them.

People engage with the Y on one level, but they soon find a deeper meaning to their activities and a connection to those around them. Ultimately, at its highest form, they feel compelled to volunteer, to give back and help others strengthen the entire community.
