YMCA sports programs promote healthy kids, families and communities by placing a priority on family involvement, healthy competition, team building and the value of participation over winning.
Parents are encouraged to be more than mere spectators by contributing their time as volunteer coaches and team parents, as well as, being their kid’s number one fan.

Our Fall Sports programs are not only fun and healthy activities for our kiddos. We also focus on character development, participation, and fundamental development.
Event Description:
- Join us for our 2024 Fall Youth Soccer Recreational League. This is a recreational league intended to provide kids with an opportunity to learn and participate in a safe, structured and encouraging environment.
- The league is focused around character development, participation, and fundamental development.
- Teams are based on school, age, and previous team experience. Divisions subject to change based on participation.
- Games are scheduled for Saturdays, and will be played at the Barbara Bauer Briggs Family YMCA. Game days and times may be subject to change, due to spacing limitations
Ages: 3-15
Volunteer Coaches:
- Coaches Meeting: Tentatively scheduled for August 8, 2024 at the BBB Family YMCA.

Practices:
- Practices begin the week of September 9, 2024.
- Practice times are selected by the volunteer coach.
- Practices are typically held at the Barbara Bauer Briggs Family YMCA.
- Practices are once a week for one hour, and are typically held in the afternoon and evening hours. To avoid any scheduling conflicts, please volunteer to coach.
Games:
- Games are scheduled for Saturdays.
- Games will be held at the BBB Family YMCA.
- Games are scheduled to start September 21, 2024.
Uniforms:
- Youth Extra Small – Youth Large
- Adult Small – Adult XXXL
- Please specify “Youth” or “Adult” size at the time of registration. First jersey is included in the registration fee. Replacement or additional jerseys can be purchased for $25.

SUMMER Sports Leagues

Our Youth Sports programs are mainly designed for school kids and youngsters. It provides an excellent opportunity to learn and participate in a safe, structured and encouraging environment. We also work towards character development, participation, and fundamental development.

- Join us for our 2025 Y-Winter Youth Basketball Recreational League. This is a recreational league intended to provide kids with an opportunity to learn and participate in a safe, structured and encouraging environment.
- The league is focused around character development, participation, and fundamental development.
- Teams are based on school, age, and previous team experience. Divisions subject to modification based on participation.
- Games are scheduled for Saturday mornings, and will be played at both the Barbara Bauer Briggs Family YMCA, and at the VISD District Event Center. Game days and times may be subject to change, due to spacing limitations
Ages: 4-15
Registration:
- September 28-November 24
- Late Registration: November 25-December 8
- No registration will be accepted once LATE Registration ends
Registration Fee:
- Y Members $65/Community Members $100
- LATE Registration Fee: Y Members $90/Community Members $125

- Sponsored teams will receive custom jerseys with the sponsor’s logo on the back. All other plays will receive BBB YMCA dry-fit -shirts for the season.

Event Description:
Join us for our 2024 Y-Summer Youth Sports Camps.
Each session will be for 4 hours, Mon-Fri 8am-12pm or 1pm-5pm. You will choose EITHER a morning or afternoon session.
Choose between basketball or volleyball training.
The camp is focused around character development, participation, and fundamental development. The camp is intended to provide kids with an opportunity to learn and participate in a safe, structured and encouraging environment. It will consist of video training, competitions and leadership skills instructed by collegiate level athletes.
Lunch and water will be included for all participants.
Athletic shoes and attire are required.

Event Description:
- Get a personalized approach to your Basketball skills and improve your game with our one on one skill training inside of our NEW Sports Personal Training Room! Participants meet once a week for one hour.
- Available times are Thursdays at 5pm, 6pm, 7pm or 8pm. Timeslots are based on a first come, first serve basis. Time slots are contingent on spacing, and the trainer will assist in scheduling a time upon receiving the registration.
- Sessions are designed for each participant to assist in building on areas of strength, while also improving areas of weakness. This program is designed to give participants the personal attention they need to help take their game to the next level!

- First of every month – end of each month (or until spots fill)
- Program must be paid for prior to the 1st class of the month.

Our Basketball and Volleyball leagues are specially designed for teenagers with a goal of helping them reach their full potential. Our sports programs help build confidence and positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork.

Event Description:
Give your young athlete a chance to take their game to the next level with our Y-Youth Speed, Agility, and Quickness training! Train with our qualified Y-Youth Sports staff member, Alex Aguero! Alex has a BS in Kinesiology from UHV and is an ISSA certified personal trainer. Sharpen motor skills, strengthen your agility, heighten your awareness, and increase your overall athletic performance under Alex’s guidance. This program is great for all athletes, and works well as an off-season training program. Set your athlete up for success and help boost their confidence on game day with our Y-Youth SAQ Training!
