ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES
BARBARA BAUER BRIGGS FAMILY YMCA
The Y is the launching point for many children to learn about the world around them and become better prepared for their school years through education, social engagement, and by developing healthy habits they will carry with them throughout their lives.
The YMCA of the Golden Crescent offers various plans to offer various enrichment classes for children and young adults in all areas. Children learn through stimulating activities and enhanced play, mastering skills that will help them study their everyday surroundings and discover answers for themselves.
Take learning to the next level by enrolling your child in our session-based classes.

This program is a basic introduction to general biology which will be provided for students to build a foundation in the study of life. This program will also touch on the sub-discipline, microbiology, which is the study of microorganisms. Students will have the opportunity to work with microscopes as well as culture their own microbes along with other fun lab activities included in these courses. In this class, they will learn about cells, bacteria, scientific lab techniques and perform their own experiments!
